Female Car Trainer Cruz Ramirez is Sunny-But-Fierce in "Cars 3"

In Disney-Pixar's No.1 US box-office hit Cars 3, Lightning McQueen meets his match in Cruz Ramirez, a sunny-but-fierce unconventional trainer at the Rust-eze Racing Center.

Tasked with getting Lightning back on track after a devastating setback, Cruz isn’t shy – her training style is high-tech, enthusiastic and steadfast—she’s not afraid to apply a little tough love. But there’s more to Cruz than meets the eye.

According to story supervisor Scott Morse, while Cruz may be the antidote to Lightning’s issues, she’s also a bold, bright yellow reminder. “She’s a very tangible personal version of what he freaked out about before he crashed,” says Morse. “She is the face of the future. She is cool. She is brash. She seems to know a lot more than him. She is kind of flippant about it. She’s really good and doesn’t have to work for it like he does. She’s young. He’s old.”

Meet The Extended Family From Disney-Pixar's "Coco"

Disney·Pixar’s “Coco,” a multi-generational story about the power of family relationships, features characters from the Land of the Living, and their loved ones who’ve moved on to the Land of the Dead. Joining aspiring musician Miguel, voiced by Anthony Gonzalez; charming trickster Hector, voiced by Gael García Bernal; and musical icon Ernesto de la Cruz, voiced by Benjamin Bratt; are a host of colorful characters and the voice talent behind them that bring both worlds to life. Directed by Lee Unkrich (“Toy Story 3”), co-directed by Adrian Molina (story artist “Monsters University”) and produced by Darla K. Anderson (“Toy Story 3”), “Coco” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2017.

“These parallel worlds couldn’t be more different,” said Unkrich. “One is the Rivera family’s charming and hardworking hometown of Santa Cecilia, and the other is the vibrant, rich land where loved ones go when they’ve passed. ‘Coco’ introduces characters from both worlds on the eve of Día de los Muertos—one extraordinary night when a living boy named Miguel gets a glimpse of the other side.”

The romantic, fantasy musical posted a cumulative gross of a jolting P667.46-M yesterday, its 27th day of release, and effectively overtaking Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” as the No.1 movie of all-time in the country.

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" Sets Box Office Records Globally

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast charms its way to the hearts of audiences in Southeast Asia, taking in a remarkable cumulative box office of USD$14.9million across the region on its' opening weekend. The live-action adaptation of the beloved classic tale opened to the number one position at the box office charts globally.

In the Philippines, the film opened in cinemas on 16th March, and lands itself as the biggest opening weekend of 2017, garnering a cumulative box office of USD$6.3million locally.

Internationally, the film has secured its’ position as one of the top 10 openings of all time, achieving USD$350 million at the global box office till date.  Starring Emma Watson as Belle, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is poised to continue its stellar performance at the box office.

Disney Reveals First-Look of "Mary Poppins Returns"

Walt Disney Pictures has revealed the first look at Mary Poppins Returns, the sequel to the beloved 1964 musical classic that starred Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke.

Based on the Mary Poppins stories by P.L. Travers, Mary Poppins Returns comes from a screenplay by Life of Pi scribe David Magee, with Oscar-winning Chicago and Into the Woods director Rob Marshall at the helm.

The film stars Emily Blunt in the title role, with Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Meryl Streep.

Mary Poppins Returns is set in 1930s depression-era London (the time period of the original novels) and is drawn from the wealth of material in PL Travers’ additional seven books. In the story, Michael (Ben Whishaw) and Jane (Emily Mortimer) are now grown up, with Michael, his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen (Julie Walters), living on Cherry Tree Lane. After Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) re-enters the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda), uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a new assortment of colorful and whimsical characters, including her eccentric cousin, Topsy (Meryl Streep).

Five-time GRAMMY® winning and best-selling recording artist Celine Dion will perform an all-new original song, “How Does A Moment Last Forever,” for Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast.” The song will also be included on the film’s soundtrack.

Written by eight-time Oscar®-winning composer Alan Menken (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin”) and veteran lyricist and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice (“The Lion King,” “Evita”), “How Does A Moment Last Forever” is an emotional ballad about holding onto life’s precious moments. Portions of the song are performed throughout the film and interpolated into the underscore before Dion’s full-length version debuts in the film’s custom main-on-end title design.
