Give Me a ‘Break’! Distrito Makati opens at MCBD North anew

The city of Makati is unwrapping yet another huge and exciting surprise this June 1, in time to usher the celebrations for its 342nd founding anniversary, as it opens once again the Distrito Night Food Market in the Amorsolo open parking lot beside Makati Medical Center (MMC).

Home to the country’s top business headquarters, commercial establishments, and the most prime residential enclaves, Makati is set to bring the experience of the world’s best lifestyle markets from Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, and Birmingham once again through this signature late night food and lifestyle concept.

“Distrito Makati is a unique lifestyle concept that enlivens the Makati Central Business District (MCBD)-North by giving the public a glimpse of what the city’s burgeoning retail vibe feels like,” says Mel Ignacio, Ayala Land Inc.’s Assistant Vice President. “Fresh from its recent success, Makati is again hosting Distrito for the millions of Filipinos who live in the city or troop here everyday to work or just hang out.

Distrito Makati is just one of the many proofs of Makati’s ability to evolve with its public and stay relevant to the needs of today’s urban dwellers. It is a mid-week food and lifestyle festival where people can get a taste and an experience of the best that Makati has to offer—from gourmet foods to unique fashion must-haves and other retail products. “More significantly, this unique concept reflects and complements the retail lifestyle of MCBD North, where two landmark projects of Ayala Land Inc. (ALI)—Kroma and The Lerato—are set to rise, by culling the best of Makati’s urban lifestyle offerings all in one venue.”

To sum it up, Distrito Makati will, once again, give Makati denizens a place of convergence within the city. It will be a great place where people can enjoy a wide selection of mouth-watering food while celebrating in the company of friends and colleagues after work. Open every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00PM to 3:00AM, Distrito Makati will also be offering free WiFi from Globe Tattoo at home, live acoustic entertainment, and free freshly-brewed organic coffee to MMC’s employees, as well as call center and BPO employees.

Grab your friends and head to Distrito Makati and enjoy great tasting snacks, meals, pastries, desserts and food products from the city’s best home chefs, bakers and restaurants. Free photo souvenirs from Fat Cat Studios, free Toblerone chocolate mini-bars, and free coffee from Philips Saeco Espresso Machines also await the Makati denizens at the opening on Friday.
