He is now starting to be a household name and going beyond just being a commercial model.
He is usually seen as a comedic character in teleseryes and even in commercials, but he also proves that he can do more than being funny by being part of the musical movie "I Do Bidoo". He is also now the sidekick of Coco Martin in Juan Dela Cruz as his best friend in the series.
His efforts were rewarded recently with his newest endorsements and also the Star Award for Movies as the Best New Actor Award. He still proves that hard work has its fruits and now he also have Chicken and Baboy.
Neil Coleta Proves His Worth As An Actor
In Just two years in showbiz Model Turned Actor and Star Magic talent Niel Coleta feels like he is floating on air after winning the 'New Movie Actor' award for the film "I Do Bidoo" at the recently concluded Star Awards for Movies. "Super happy! Unexpected kasi madaming kalaban," the young star shared. "Dati kasi makita lang ako sa TV masaya na ako, ngayong nakuha ang award na 'to, ibang klaseng tuwa pala ang mararamdaman mo."
Neil began in showbiz doing TV commercials for Voice Cookie Sandwich and Nestea. After signing up with Star Magic, he became part of top-rating teleseryes such as "100 Days", "Growing Up", "Aryana" and now "Juan Dela Cruz." "I Do Bidoo" was Niel's first big screen projecy and he was apprehensive at first accepting the gay role. But looks like his descision to do it paid off.
Neil strongly feels his career is on the right track and is very thankful of the blessings he is receiving left and right. Another 'blessing' Niel hs recently received is an endorsement deal with the fast food chain ChickBoy. As ChickBoy's celebrity endorser, Neil said it's another milestone in his career. "Ibang-iba yung feeling. Dati kasi ginagawa ko siya as commercial model, pero ngayon as endorser na. First time ko yun and first din for them. Sobrang thankful ako at sana matagal pa yung relationship ko with them."
As for what the future holds for Neil, the young man knows things are not permanent in the world of show business. All he knows is that he gives his best in everything he does and it will all be reciprocated in time. He hopes people will continue to recognize his hard work and appreciate his passion for acting.
