Fast the Furious 6 Red Carpet Premiere in Manila

It has been quite some time that Manila has been chosen to be the venue of a Red Carpet premiere of a Hollywood Film, and there has been a number of big stars who have came to Manila to do concerts, grand openings but the biggest event that made buzz here and around Asia is the premiere of Fast and the Furious 6 held at the SM Mall of Asia.

Asian premieres usually happens either in Tokyo, Singapore and Hongkong, this momentous gathering of the cast of Fast 6 made fans excited for the latest installment of the fast-paced action movie with a lot of muscle cars and sexy ladies which makes it the ultimate guy movie.

The main cast who arrived in Manila were Gina Carano, Luke Evans, Michelle Rodriguez, and Vin Diesel. The red carpet event first made a public appearance at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall which was turned into a open car show with cars lined up beside Sunset boulevard and local and international press lined up to interview the stars.

When they arrived, the music hall was filled with screams and claps from the public who were eagerly waiting for them to arrive at the red carpet. With the soundtrack of the Fast and Furious in the background and fireworks when they arrived made their entrance very explosive.

There was also a short interview with the producer and cast on stage as they also signed a Dodge for charity. "Mahal Ko Kayo!" shouted Vin Diesel on stage which made a mark on all who were at the music hall. After the interview, the cast proceeded to the cinema to catch up on the lucky movie goers giving autographs and high fives to those who will see the movie ahead of its May 24 screening.

Event Marks the First Time the City Will Gather Foreign Press to Promote a Hollywood Movie

The Philippines continues to capture Hollywood's interest, as Manila will play host to Universal Pictures’ upcoming Fast & Furious 6, it was announced today. This event is the very first time that Manila will gather foreign press from Asia and other cities outside of the region to promote a major Hollywood movie. The film’s lead action star, Vin Diesel, along with fellow stars Michelle Rodriguez, Gina Carano and Luke Evans, producer Neal H. Moritz, and director Justin Lin will be coming to the Philippines to be part of this exciting movie event. During the two‐day event, invited journalists will have a chance to conduct one‐on‐one interviews with the cast and director. This will culminate with a star‐studded premiere of Fast and Furious 6 at the SM Mall of Asia on May 15, 2013.

Manila is now part of a talent world tour that includes stops in other global cities including London, Seoul, and Cabo San Lucas. This bit of good news comes on the heels of Manila receiving global exposure in 2012 as one of the main location backdrops for the Hollywood action‐thriller The Bourne Legacy.

Fast and Furious 6 continues in the tradition of thrilling fast‐paced car chases, action, and suspense that has made the movie franchise a worldwide sensation. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of all‐stars as the global blockbuster franchise built on speed races to its next continent. Reuniting for their most high‐stakes adventure yet, fan favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang, John Ortiz, Gal Gadot, and Elsa Pataky are joined by badass series newcomers Luke Evans and Gina Carano.

Fast  and Furious 6 is a United International Pictures Release through Solar Entertainment Corporation. The film will be released in theatres across the Philippines on May 24, 2013.
