FILA Philippines family continues to grow with more fans, stores, and now endorsers. They first had Borgy Mantoc, Georgina Wilson and Tim Yap. Then they supported and got the Philippine Rugby Team of more known as The Philippine Volcanoes when they were able to qualify for the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Russia on 2013. And this year, in celebration of the only athlete for the winter Olympics in Sochi Russia, Michael Martinez, now joins the roster as the new endorser of the global brand FILA.
Last year they had a meet and greet with fans and customers at selected FILA outlets in Metro Manila. Here they can meet the Volcanoes personally and have their fans signed and their pictures taken. This year it has become more larger with the addition of Michael Martinez as a sport champion and new endorser of the brand.
For this leg, they first went to Robinson's Galleria branch first with the Volcanoes greeting and interacting to fans who crowded the store. Then afterwards, they move to the FILA branch in SM Megamall, which is now the biggest mall in the Philippines and 3rd in the whole world.
Since the FILA shop is located in Mega A ground floor, the traffic of mall goers in the area is very high and it is also just in time for TOYCON which also draws a lot of crowd as well as cosplayers who roams the mall.
The Volcanoes led by Eric Tai, Gareth Holgate, and Jake Letts. Tessa Prieto Valdez is also accompanied by Brazilian-Japanese model Fabio Ide, and of course Michael Martinez. As the lines also draws passing traffic, many became curious of what is going on and eventually go into the line for a selfie and signed fans and merchandise of FILA.
The #FILAPinas Meet and Greet continued on the next day wherein they visited the Glorietta and Mall of Asia branches which has also the same jampacked hour with a lot of picture taking small talk, and even a overwhelming support and love for Michael, the Volcanoes, Tessa, and Fabio. The meet and greet sessions grow bigger each year, FILA is also preparing move fun activities and interactions that gives a whole new image for FILA as a supporter of sports, arts and fashion.
