REEL DEAL: Penguins of Madagascar REVIEW

I believe it is about time that the Penguins of Madagascar finally got their own movie with Dreamworks. And after 3 movies of the Madagascar franchise, they finally got to have their own film. Although they also have a TV series of the same title, the feel and timeline for this is definitely much more demanded by fans as they have their own brand of comedy and charm for the viewers.

Set after Madagascar 3 Europe's Most Wanted, the Penguins go into a different direction to explore their own adventure. Being an elite team of Penguins from Antarctica, Rico, Private, Kowalski and Skipper have proven themselves as a very effective group that can face any danger that comes their way.

Also with the intervention of the North Wind, the elite animal team lead by Classified (Benedict Cumberbatch), the Penguins find themselves challenged with their teamwork as well as the new villain that threatens to get rid of them. The movie may have a simple plot, but what makes its special is its action and comedy which made the Penguin stand out in the Madagascar films. Of course, there will be a lot of funny moments that will make viewing fun for all ages.

By the way, they also had Pitbull sing in one of the soundtrack of the movie!

PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR  stars Tom McGrath, Chris Miller, Conrad Vernon, Christopher Knights, Benedict Cumberbatch, and John Malkovich.

PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR  will be showing in cinemas November 26! Produced by Dreamworks and distributed by 20th Century Fox Philippines

Deliberation time kids!

Show summary in 3 lines: Penguins Elite Team
Technical Effects: 4 out of 5 stars (Definitely much more detailed versus the Madagascar movie as they have more technical and action scenes)
Plot: 2 out of 5 stars (I can forgive the inconsistencies due to the humor)
Acting and Actors: 4 out of 5 stars  (Best performance, or rather voice for Benedict Cumberbatch)
Music and Soundtracks:  3 out for 5 stars (They got Pitbull to sing their OST)

Pros:  Penguins, Action, North Wind, Benedict Cumberbatch, Squid names
Cons:   Plot, Cliche villain,
Overall Rating: 3.4 out of 5 stars (Enjoyable for the family and kept the charms that made them loved characters of the Madagascar movies)
