Streetdancers clash in ‘Move It’ epic grand battle this Sunday

Four solo movers and five dance crews take the streetdance battle to the final level as they clash at the adrenaline-pumping and high-energy epic finale of Philippine TV’s first-ever streetdance competition, ‘Move It! Clash Of The Streetdancers’,  this Sunday (April 26), 8:00PM on TV5.

Battling for PhP 500K and the glory of becoming the first-ever ‘Move It’ King/Queen of Streetdance are Ang TV star-turned-Manouvers dancer Job Zamora, TV5’s ‘dancing princess’ Anykka Asistio,  multi-awarded and internationally acclaimed streetdancer Dhztine Bernardino and professional dance choreographer, Manouvers dancer and teacher RJ de Claro. Job, Anykka, Dhztine and RJ proved that they were Move It’s best-of-the-best after battling against six other solo movers --  matinee idols and celebrity dancers John Wayne Sace and Sergio Garcia, commercial model Charlotte Hermoso, TV5’s very own Chris Leonardo, Wowowillie back-up dancer Lovely Abella and Mocha Girl Anne Sotelo. Each week, they were assigned different performance themes which explored the different genres and dancing styles in hip-hop and streetdance. The said themes proved their versatility as dancers and their mastery over their craft.

Meanwhile, 5 dance crews who have risen from the underground will clash against each other and dance their hearts out for PHP 1M and the fame that goes with becoming the country’s Top Streetdance Crew.

Will it be the Pride of Pangasinan, back-to-back World Supremacy Battlegrounds (2011 & 2012) champs, Pangasinan Movement? San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan’s homegrown talent and Aliw Award’s Discovery Of The Year (2013) FCPC Baliktanaw Performing Arts? Talentadong Pinoy Hall of Famer and Filipino culture advocates Nocturnal Dance Company? Polytechnic University of The Philippines’ Power Impact Dancers? Or will it be the reigning back-to-back World Supremacy Battlegrounds (2013 & 2014) champs, FMD Extreme?
'Move It! Clash of the Streetdancers' is hosted by TV5 Princess Jasmine Curtis Smith and DJ Tom Taus. All dance crews and solo movers were given valuable insights and training by mainstay judge, senior Philippine All-Stars member Lema Diaz. Every week, a special judge who is an expert in the week’s assigned genre evaluates their performance, lending more weight and credibility to the judging process

Master Lema will also judge at the grand battles along with the world’s most respected names in Streetdance and Hip-Hop: Waacking Guru and Disco Lives, Thrilla in Manilla Waacking Category champion Christian Lao, senior choreographer of ‘The Crew’, ‘Up Street Dance Club’ and ‘Legit Status’ Vimi Rivera, ‘Rockstars’ founder and leader Kenjohns, and from Buffalo, New York, respected master of Krump 1K.

For the past weeks, the solo movers and dance crews demonstrated their most innovative choreography and skills. Viewers witnessed how as their intimate life stories and personal drama unfolded within the show. Crews and movers were eliminated weekly, leading to the top 4 solo movers and five dance crews battling at the finale.

Aside from the grand prize, the dance crews and solo movers are battling for PLDT HOME Telpad’s Viewer’s Choice award. The dance crew who gets the most number of online votes will receive PhP100K while the solo mover brings home PhP30K. All non-winning Grand Finalists will also receive PhP 10K courtesy of PLDT HOME Telpad.  All 10 groups and solo movers will receive Vine Holistic Medical Aesthetics gift certificates.

Who will reign the street? Don’t miss the final clash of streetdancers at the epic grand battle of ‘Move It’ this Sunday (April 26), 8:00PM on TV5!
