Want your own playlist? Spotify recommends with Discover Weekly

Spotify users can now enjoy a highly-intuitive feature that recommends music based on personal taste, and Globe customers get free access with a GoSURF subscription

Spotify continues to take the music streaming experience to the next level as it recently launched a new feature that generates a weekly playlist of recommended new tunes based on the type of music a user listens to in-app.

Discover Weekly lets all music lovers and aficionados discover and explore new songs and artists simply by listening to more music on Spotify. With Spotify’s exclusive partnership with the country’s leading mobile brand Globe Telecom, Globe customers get free access to the feature by subscribing to a GoSURF data plan.

Updated every Monday morning, the feature evolves along with one’s musical taste as it changes according to the type of music, artist, and playlist that the user frequently listens to on Spotify. Playlists are uniquely created and generated by Spotify according to the type of music that the user listens to, making the music experience more custom-made.  Listeners can now enjoy their own profile photos being turned into album art, giving the Discover Weekly playlists a personal touch.

Spotify can be accessed for free with any of Globe Telecom’s GoSURF data plans, starting at GoSURF10 for Spotify Basic. For those who prefer a seamless and continuous listening experience, Spotify Premium is available starting at a stand-alone offer at P129 or via GoSURF299.
