Pinoy Actor Dave Bautista Back as Drax in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2"

Image
For Fil-Am actor Dave Bautista (Spectre, upcoming Blade Runner 2049), returning to the Guardians fold in Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was a chance to reprise a character he truly enjoys playing.
“What I really love about Drax is he’s not what you’d expect from reading the comics,” Bautista says. “Everybody was expecting one thing, and we gave them another. It makes it more interesting. It’s easy just to be the big guy who’s always growling at people and intimidating people. We’ve seen it a million times. But when you get the same guy who looks the same way but just says the most ridiculous things that make you laugh, it makes him more interesting.”

These babies were examined physically, any baby considered weak was left to die. Plan Your Trip
Allot extra time on your road trip so that you can afford changes in your schedule. Delays are the one thing that you can count on when driving long distances while hundreds of fellow travelers are doing the same. Building in extra time can help keep you relaxed on the drive, and will allow you to take breaks along the way. Remember, the shortest route isn’t always the fastest route, aim to avoid roads that are prone to congestion during peak hours

REEL DEAL: Ghost In The Shell REVIEW

Image
The story of Ghost In The Shell has been loved by anime fans from the manga to the anime incarnations. It was also hard to view the film due to its violent and nudity content back then when I was a wee child. Now that I am all grown up now, this should never be an issue. But how well does the new Ghost In The Shell fair as Scarlett Johansson plays the role of Major in this film.

When the movie was first announced, many were excited and scared of the casting. When Johansson was tasked to play the role of Major, there was a divided reaction from fans and movie critics. The issue of whitewashing was in the table for discussion since the original series was Japanese in terms of characters and location.

However, it is not a guarantee that when Asian actors come to play their roles will merit a good movie. So I did reserve all doubts until I saw the movie itself. It did proved to be not disappoint from my opinion as it was able to deliver the story with some tweaks and visual candies. Given t…

REEL DEAL: CHiPs REVIEW

Image
Police/CIA comedy has been way overused by Hollywood, which is probably the biggest challenge of the latest film by Dax Shephard who wrote and directed his latest comedy CHIPS with Michael Peña.
Based on the 70s - 80s series, the film brings the combination of the two actors into an operation which is hindered by their own personal dilemmas. One is a divorced cop who is trying to win back his ex-wife and the other is a sex addict who goes undercover for the California Highway patrol. The two eventually are teamed up to protect the streets yet take a detour to take care of CIA work.

Dax Shepard directs, writes and stars in the film which I think is too much and may have gravely affected the film. Despite his expertise on action and film making, the movie could have been better in a lot of ways. However I still like Michael Peña for his role here which he played good, however there are parts of his lines or jokes which I think is a regional reference, which is quite hard to laugh about.
