REEL DEAL: Beauty and The Beast REVIEW

Tale as old as Time... is probably the most iconic statement from a Disney Animated film Beauty and the Beast which I really enjoyed when I was young. Now after decades after it was launched, they went with a live-action movie which has been long anticipated by fans.

Years before, it has been revealed that Emma Watson will play the role of Belle and everyone was excited including myself. Then news about the project was also been awaited by fans. As it draws near its release in 2017, they are looking forward to the box office success of the film because of the raves.

As it is largely based on the 1991 animated version, which also got a nomination for the Academy Awards for best picture - a first for an animated film, Beauty and the Beast retained its playlist of unforgettable songs plus some new ones which are also good. There are some changes made to earn its identity apart from the animation. As revealed by the director, there was indeed the "gay moment" but it was so minimal yet trivial to notice. But what I liked most is the scenes that answered my questions that I have with the cartoon version. Take note, it could also be linked to another Disney movie.

REEL DEAL: A Dog's Purpose REVIEW

A dog is indeed man's best friend as they are very loving and loyal creatures who walk with man throughout his life, and at some point in my life I also had a dog.  And even if you did not have a dog or a pet, everyone can still relate to the story of  A Dog's Purpose.

This movie has a new theme of having the point of view of a dog who goes through many phases and people which brings one into a journey of a dog and what his purpose really is.

Even if you have a dog or not, it will touch the heart with the experiences common to many of us, the srtuggles, the despair but also the happiness and celebrations we go into. It teaches life in a dog's perception. With a talented cast, the film was successful bringing the emotions to the viewers. And probably after the movie you might want to hug your pets really tight.

Every Dog Happens for a Reason in "A Dog's Purpose"

Told from a dog's perspective, Universal Pictures' feel-good movie A Dog's Purpose shares the heartwarming and surprising story of one devoted dog (voiced by Frozen's Josh Gad) who finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love.

Over the course of five decades, a single voice-that of an indefatigable dog-takes us along a riveting and uplifting path that speaks to the heart of anyone who has ever loved an animal. Although he is reincarnated in the bodies of multiple canines through the years, it is his unbreakable bond with a kindred spirit named Ethan that carries and inspires one dog throughout his journey to find a true purpose for his boy.

But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.

Hot off voicing the emotion Fear in the Oscar-winning “Inside Out” and starring in the hit comedy “Trainwreck,” actor Bill Hader now takes the role of the porcine principal, Leonard, in Columbia Pictures' new adventure comedy “The Angry Birds Movie.”

Leonard is the leader of the pigs, the one who launches the birds’ beef against the pork. Proud, egomaniacal, and vain, Leonard’s a real pig, so no wonder that he ruffles Red’s feathers a bit.

“Leonard is super charismatic – so charming that he wins over the birds straight away,” says director Fergal Reilly. “Bill created a voice that had authority, but also charm – a showman personality. Bill has a velvety quality to his voice – warm and super funny – so when Leonard arrives on Bird Island, he wins the birds over effortlessly.”
