ABS-CBN Star Cinema’s “I Love You Hater” posts the truths and lies about love and what’s in between

Is it possible to love someone you hate? The generational movie “I Love You Hater” from one of the Philippines’ sources of tried and tested movies  
Star Cinema, tries to answer this question in the contemporary romance – comedy that enumerates the many ways plus the reasons why the movie is the next big movie to love this year.

One, the movie brings together one of Philippine entertainment’s biggest loveteams JoshLia that combines respected young actor Joshua Garcia and one of Philippine cinema’s loveliest faces Julia Barretto in a story that presents them in a fresh light – two young professionals Joko and Zoey fighting for the same role, borne out of their individual motivations and life goals.

The Philippines’ breakthrough love team of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto returns to the big screen for another exciting chapter of their blockbuster tandem in Star Cinema’s upcoming romantic-comedy entitled, ”Love You To The Stars And Back” screening in Australia and New Zealand starting September 14 via TFC@theMovies.

Written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone, who is widely recognized for changing the film landscape by introducing the ‘hugot’ or feels genre in “That Thing Called Tadhana”, ”Love You to the Stars and Back” is the much-awaited follow-up movie of Garcia and Barretto since they first teamed up in their Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2016 entry ,”Vince And Kath And James”. 


The story is centered on an eccentric and socially awkward girl, Mika (Barretto), who decides to go on a road trip with a very strange goal --– to look for aliens. In her trip, Mika accidentally bumps into a simple and good-humored boy, Caloy (Garcia), whom she chooses to give a free ride until he reaches his destination. Mika and Caloy get to know each other as the two embark on a road trip filled with adventures and misadventures. In the process, the two unexpectedly teach each other an important lesson on love and life --– one that takes most people a lifetime to learn. 

Two of Today's Youngest Breakout Stars Featured In Metro and Chalk This February

In Metro this month, teen royalty Julia, who is set to star in her first primetime series, “Mira/Bella,” is put under a different sort of spotlight—revealing how she goes beyond her name and comes into her own in a shoot and story that details the fierce and stylish young celebrity she is with hints at who she is bound to become.

Metro also features the biggest trends for Spring/Summer 2014 in its February issue, recognizing the dawn of a new season--with new collections, new trends, and a new attitude to go along with it all.

Julia Baretto Shares A touching Family Story in "MMK"

Julia Baretto shares a touching story of a daugther in conflict this Saturday (June 15) in her episode for ABS-CBN's longest running drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya." The rising Kapamilya teen star will give life to the character of Alex, a young teenage girl who grew up in a complete and happy family. Her life reaches a turning point when her mother leaver them for another man because of her father's drug addiction. Before her family get even more broken, Alex eventually decides to forgive her father. She works hard to prove to her mother that their family will still be happy without her. Will Alex find it in her heart to forgive her mother for abandoning them? Together with Julia in this episode are Ara Mina, James Blanco, Jacob Dionisio, Tommy Abuel, Manuel Chua, Kristoff Meneses, Marikit Morales, and Yda Yaneza.
