"The Star" -- The First Christmas Through Eyes of Manger Animals

How do you tell one of the most famous stories ever recorded and bring it to the screen in a fresh, new way? This was the challenge facing the filmmakers behind The Star, Affirm Films and Sony Pictures Animation’s family film about the events leading up to the very first Christmas.

“It’s the Nativity story from the point of view of the animals, and in this film, we follow Bo, who is the donkey that carries Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem,” explains director Timothy Reckart.

In The Star, a small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a loveable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become unlikely heroes in the greatest story ever told – the first Christmas.

KELLY CLARKSON’S “STRONGER (WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU)” RETURNS TO #1 ON BILLBOARD’S HOT 100 CHART

Global superstar Kelly Clarkson’s current single, “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” returns to #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart for a third week.  The single was previously #1 on the Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks in February.  This is Kelly’s 3rd Billboard Hot 100 #1 after 2002’s “A Moment Like This” and 2009’s “My Life Would Suck Without You.”  

Kelly is currently on her 2012 Stronger World Tour and receiving rave reviews.  After her sold out Radio City show, The New York Times stated, “..the idea delivered by the show was that Ms. Clarkson was a star,” while Spin claimed, “Vocally, Clarkson was impeccable, nailing every big note and wistful whisper as she worked her way back and forth across the broad Radio City stage.”  The Hollywood Reporter said,“Clarkson's personable nature and powerhouse vocals prove that she is growing stronger with each album and tour.”
