The streaming giant breaks worldwide last Wednesday, February 1, the official trailer of Ten Little Mistresses (Sampung Mga Kerida).

From Palanca Award-winning writer-director Njel de Mesa (writer of critically-acclaimed film Respeto and the film Subtext) comes this action-packed film that tackles the controversial war against drugs in the Philippines. Through the film, audiences will have the chance to see the various aspects and opposing views of the big issues in the country.

Aljur Abrenica Says "Come and Get Me"

Aljur has indeed come a long way from being a simple guy joining a reality show, and now as a established Kapuso and is venturing into the music scene. This GMA Artist Center prime artist returns to the concert scene this November 7, 2013 at the Music Museum. This will also mark the road to his upcoming album that will be produced by MCA Music. Dubbed as "Come And Get Me", supporters of Aljur are in for a special treat as he is expected to perform tracks and medleys that he personally chose.

Unknown to many, Aljur says that he is really a singer even before showbiz, having a band back then was one of his passions and then came stardom. One of the songs he will perform is a composition of his father. This will also be his first concert where he is joined by his brother Vin who won in a star search in TV5.

GMA Network makes the last quarter of the year an exciting time for all with the launch of its newest drama series that will forge a connection with the hearts of the Filipinos via PRINSESA NG BUHAY KO. It will replace Binoy Henyo beginning September 23 before 24 Oras.

GMA International Supports Second Annual Original Pinoy Music Festival in Vancouver

GMA International – the business unit handling GMA Network’s three international channels – celebrates Filipino music by partnering once again with the Filipino Canadian Marketing Group (FCMG) in presenting the annual Vancouver’s Original Pinoy Music (OPM) Festival in Canada.

Filipinos are known music-lovers and this fact rings true wherever they may be in the world.  Launched in 2012, this year’s Vancouver Original Pinoy Music Festival 2013 is slated to be held at the Plaza of Nations, 750 Pacific Boulevard in Vancouver, on Sunday, July 21st, from 3:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Admission is FREE for all our Filipino-Canadian kababayans. Joining them would be the popular Kapuso loveteam, the hunk Aljur Abrenica and talented actress Kris Bernal, both survivors of the reality-based artista search StarStruck: The Next Level. Like many Kapuso stars, Kris Bernal was a product of the talent search StarStruck.  She joined the search in 2006 and since then, she has come a long way in her showbiz career.  Among her previous roles, the one she portrayed in the “danceserye” Time of My Life was her most memorable.  In her interview with MEGA magazine, she reasoned, “Doon ko nararamdaman na sobra akong na-challenge sa role.  Kailangan kong sumayaw at umarte.”

Hiram na Puso Pilot a Big Ratings Success

GMA's newest afternoon drama Hiram na Puso debuted with very high ratings in both Mega Manila and in the National Urban Philippines according to data from the more trusted television ratings provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement (TAM).

Hiram na Puso’s pilot episode, which aired on March 5, led in the national ratings, gaining a household rating of 14.9 pts. and an audience share of 40.6%, while its nearest competitor ABS-CBN’s Mundo Man ay Magunaw only gained 9.2 pts. and an audience share of 25.1%.  This is based on data provided by the Nielsen National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM).

Remarkable story of a mother’s love in GMA’s ‘Hiram na Puso’

Hiram na Puso is a heart-warming story of a loving mother, who takes all risks to save her daughter from death only to be abandoned by the same daughter after she literally had a change of heart.  Soon, the said mother realizes that this is the dire consequence of one irreversible mistake she committed in the past.

Starring Kris Bernal, Mark Herras, Polo Ravales, Bela Padilla with Gardo Versoza, Ayen Laurel, Candy Pangilinan, Ana Marin, Marc Acueza, Wynwyn Marquez and Ms. Gina Alajar, Hiram na Puso is a creatively-crafted drama series that will boldly pique every viewer’s conscience, pitting the ends versus the means, malice versus the motive.

Gina Alajar plays the role of Zeny, a nursing student whose life gets complicated when she gets impregnated by her boyfriend who subsequently leaves her.  She gives birth to twins, but unfortunately one of them had a heart complication and needed immediate operation.  But Zeny couldn’t afford the cost of the operation, and so, she was left without a choice but to give up the healthier baby so she can save the ailing one.  The ailing child survived and Zeny  named her “Lira” (Kris Bernal).
