Hasley, Rosalía, Becky G, Akon, Ava Max, And Mabel To Perform At The "2019 MTV EMAS"

MTV today unveiled a group of powerhouse performers to kick off the “2019 MTV EMAs” lineup. Multi-platinum artist Halsey, Spanish sensation Rosalía, internationally renowned singer/actress and EMA show host Becky G, global superstar Akon, pop phenomenon Ava Max, as well as “Best New” and “Best Push” nominee Mabel are the first performers announced for the global music celebration airing live from FIBES Conference & Exhibition Centre of Seville, Spain on Sunday, November 3rd at 9:00pm CET.

The 2019 MTV EMAs will broadcast live on MTV Asia on Monday, 4 November 2019, starting with the red carpet premiere at 2.00 AM (WIB), 3.00 AM (SG/MY/PH), and 4.00 AM (MY - Astro). This is followed by the main show at 3.00 AM (WIB), 4.00 AM (SG/MY/PH), and 5.00 AM (MY – Astro). Catch the primetime encore telecast on the same day, 4 November, with the red carpet at 7.00 PM (WIB) and 8.00 PM (SG/MY/PH), and the main show at 7.50 PM (WIB) and 8.50 PM (SG/MY/PH).

Viacom International Media Networks Announces Partnership with Facebook to Create Multiple Original Shortform Series on Facebook Watch

Four brand new eight-part series featuring popular social influencers to premiere this year

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), a division of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA, VIAB),  today announced a partnership with Facebook to launch an upcoming slate of eight original shortform series created for Facebook Watch. The announcement was made at All That Matters 2019 in Singapore. The series will be created by MTV Asia as part of the publisher and creator video incubation program for Facebook Watch. With genres ranging across music entertainment, pro-social and reality, the series will feature popular social influencers in Asia. Four shows will premiere later this year while the remaining four will be developed in 2020.

And it’s a wrap for the 2019 MTV VMAs! The VMAs premiered on the MTV Asia Play app this morning. Catch the primetime encore telecast tonight to relive the Pre-Show and Main Show at 7.00pm WIB , 8.00pm MY/SG/PH (pre-show) and 7.50pm WIB, 8.50pm MY/SG/PH (main show). The repeat telecast airs on the same day at 10.45pm (WIB), 11.45pm (SG/PH), 12.45am (28 August - MY).

MTV Asia Fires Up Hip Hop With Asian Twist of "Yo! MTV Raps", Premiering 15 April

Hip hop fans in Asia have a lot to look forward to as MTV Asia’s “YO! MTV Raps” kicks off on 15 April to dish out tons of Asian attitude in an ultimate showcase of youth expression. A reboot of the iconic hip hop show “YO! MTV Raps”, the series has been crafted as a diverse linear and digital offering across all of MTV Asia’s platforms. The intent is singular — celebrate the explosion of hip hop culture through an Asian lens on music, fashion and lifestyle.

The show is hosted by global DJ, producer and model Kim Lee and Singaporean rapper and songwriter, Yung Raja; joined by segment presenters and rappers Joe Flizzow and Zamaera. Over 30 hip hop artists from 11 countries have come together in “YO! MTV Raps”.

Beyoncé’s groundbreaking visual album “Lemonade” won eight Moonmen, including “Video of the Year” for “Formation,” at the 2016 “MTV Video Music Awards,” which aired live this morning from New York’s famed Madison Square Garden. The global megastar surprised the audience with a jaw-dropping “Lemonade” medley that recreated the stunning imagery of the visual album.  Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award-winner Rihanna dazzled with a career-spanning four-act performance – including an electrifying opening dance medley and a trio of stirring ballads to close – before accepting the VMAs highest honor with a heartfelt tribute by Drake. A repeat telecast of the 2016 “MTV Video Music Awards” will air on MTV tonight at 8pm (WIB), 9pm (SG/PH), 10pm (MY). The show will air on MTV LIVE HD on Tuesday, 30 August at 7.30pm (TH/WIB) and 8.30pm (HK/MY/PH/SG).
