Miss World PH Eyes Three-Peat Wins: Launches Revitalized Brand

The Miss World Philippines Organization (MWPO) recently hosted a grand official send-off at the luxurious B Hotel in Quezon City last Saturday, March 5, for three of its reigning queens who will soon be competing in their respective global pageants within the next few weeks.

On top of the list is reigning Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez, who flies back to San Juan, Puerto Rico in the hope of continuing her winning streak on the coronation night of the 70th edition of the Miss World 2021 pageant scheduled on March 16 (March 17, 8:00 am, Manila time).

Who will win this year's Miss World Philippines crown?

Thirty-five candidates will be vying for the coveted Miss World Philippines crown during the grand pageant to be held tonight, September 3, at the Mall of Asia arena.

The event will be hosted by Iya Villania, KC Montero and Carla Abellana, with special guests Jay-R, Kris Lawrence and other surprise guests.

Megan Young Wins First Miss World Title For The Philippines

In the history of the Miss World pageant the Philippines has never won the crown, rather has placed as the first runner up at most. But this night was something of a suprise as Megan Young won the very first Miss World Title for the country. This now completes the long-awaited "Grand Slam" for the world pageants namely Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth.

Megan Young started her career as a Starstruck Avenger and later moved to ABS CBN to look for more opportunities. Recently, she made news with her intention to join the Miss World Philippines whose franchise is now under the supervision of Cory Quirino.

Megan Young had a sweeping victory with numerous special awards in the competition and became a favorite and eventually crowned as the winner. There were controversies that came with her crown but she showed discipline and desire to prove that she is deserving of the title.
