Seth Rogen Pranks Grocery Shoppers for "Sausage Party"

Columbia Pictures' new raunchy, R-18-rated animated comedy “Sausage Party” opens in the Philippines on Sept. 28 and imagines what it would be like if the food in our grocery aisles was alive.

The movie is hilarious, twisted and outrageous, but that wasn’t enough for Seth Rogen. In addition to bringing talking foods to the big screen, he also wanted to bring them to a real life grocery store with a hilarious and creepy Sausage Party prank.

Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Michael Cera play sausages (Frank, Carl, and Barry, respectively); Kristen Wiig plays Brenda, a bun; Salma Hayek plays Teresa, a taco; Danny McBride plays Honey Mustard; Edward Norton plays Sammy, a bagel; David Krumholtz plays Lavash; Bill Hader takes on Firewater; Craig Robinson plays grits; and Nick Kroll plays a douche. James Franco and Paul Rudd play human beings: Franco as Druggie and Rudd as Darren, a store clerk.

“Sausage Party,” the first R-rated CG animated movie, is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store. The film features the vocal talents of a who’s who of today’s comedy stars – Michael Cera, James Franco, Salma Hayek, Jonah Hill, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Danny McBride, Edward Norton, Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, and Kristen Wiig.

REEL DEAL: Kung Fu Panda 3 REVIEW


It has been a powerful and entertaining franchise which was inspired from the eastern martial arts, now also an entertainment success, Kung Fu Panda hits harder now on its 3rd movie. The movie now expands to his roots and even the heritage from the secret Panda village.

The Dragon Warrior Panda Po faces a new foe that goes beyond dimensions. With the furious five and Master Shifu still has a lot to learn, the quest for peace and justice goes into another level. A new villain emerges from the spirit realm and takes on the best masters in China, the only hope lies again with Po.

The third film looks fun and awesome with the Pandas and all but it pars equally with the last film which was also quite heavy with the dark past. This time they incorporated it with the spirit realm which is a new place with new powers, and a great expansion for future sequels.
