Latest Colonization Mission Lands In Hostile Terrain In Ridley Scott's “ALIEN: COVENANT”

The largest colonization mission takes off in Ridley Scott’s latest sci-fi horror-thriller “Alien: Covenant” starring Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, James Franco, Billy Crudup, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo,  Callie Hernandez and Danny McBride.

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in “Alien” with “Alien: Covenant”, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with “Prometheus” and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

REEL DEAL: X-Men Apocalypse REVIEW

After the time-intervention of Days of Future Past, the X-Men faces a new foe with the latest installment to the franchise, X-Men Apocalypse. And the class gets larger with more mutants and now more exposed to the world with the events of the previous movie.

Now comes the most powerful and first mutant in the world En Sabah Nur which is known as Apocalypse. Like the biblical story, there is also the inclusion of the Four Horsemen, Magneto, Psylocke, Angel, and Storm.

Key characters like Professor X, Beast and Mystique leads the ensemble which will also welcome the future leaders of the Xavier school like Cyclops and Jean Grey who are fresh from their teens.

Though it would be a relaitively peaceful time unlike the peak of the cold war and the assault on the capital, the unbalanced treatment of mutants all over the world poses a treat to the security of the world. Now Apocalypse comes in to do a worldwide cleansing with the help of his horsemen.

Expect a lot of 80s feel for the movie, though there might me slight inconsistencies that should have been polished, it was able to deliver an action packed superhero movie as it is expected to be.

Rediscovering The Power od Shakespeare's "Macbeth" Today

William Shakespeare’s most popular play “Macbeth” is adapted anew with powerful performances by ace actors – Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender in the title role and Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard as Macbeth’s wife.

One of the greatest tragedies ever created, the latest “Macbeth” movie is directed by highly-acclaimed director Justin Kurzel.  From the producers of “The King’s Speech” comes the story of a fearless Scottish General, Macbeth (Fassbender), whose ambitious wife (Cotillard) urges him to use wicked means to gain power of the throne.

As relevant as today’s world issues on politics and abuse of power, “Macbeth” is a thrilling interpretation of one of Shakespeare’s most famous and compelling characters,  a reimagining of the realities of war-torn times and a tale of all-consuming passion and ambition.

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association has named Michael Fassbender as the year's best actor for his bravura portrayal of the real-life, titular character in Universal Pictures' “Steve Jobs.”

The recognition bodes well for the actor, who's seems to be en route for a second Academy Award nomination, following his nod for “12 Years a Slave” three years ago.

REEL DEAL: The Biggest And The best Superhero Ensemble Opens Today - May 21 In 2D, 3D and 4DX Cinemas “X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST”

With the world devastated by war, and mutants in particular facing extinction, Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and his long-time friend/occasional enemy Magneto (Ian McKellen) hatch a plan to send Wolverine’s (Hugh Jackman) consciousness back in time to his younger self in the 1970s in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”   While there, he must convince the First Class era versions of Xavier and Magneto to put aside their vast differences and bitter rivalry to work together and stop the dark, dangerous future from coming to pass. But it won’t be an easy job, as Charles Xavier in 1973 is in a dark place himself – and it might take meeting his future self to knock him out of a deep depression…

Stewart returns to the role of Charles Xavier he originated in 2000’s X-Men, reuniting with director Bryan Singer and his castmates. Slipping back into the character of Charles, Sir Stewart says that “This time, it's been a little different because the background to our story is such that the X-Men find themselves not at the start of difficult situations, but almost at the climax of them – a time when not just mutants, but all of society is threatened with extinction by these machines, the Sentinels. The drama and intensity really never let up for us in this film; in the past, we've had lighter moments and sometimes even scenes of quite conventional action. But not in this one, because the external threat is so present and so demanding that everything is at a high level of tension.”

REEL DEAL: X-Men Days of Future Past REVIEW

Bringing the X-men Trilogy, First Class, and Wolverine movie series together is what people have been waiting for. X-Men Days of Future Past is worth the wait after the series has gone through the meticulous reviews of movie buffs and comic geeks.

With a powerhouse cast and most of them are award winning actors, beyond the mutant powers is the powerful smorgasbord of acting prowess that gets all the emotions running plus the action and great effects a feast for the viewers.

New mutants also are seen here like Bishop, Blink, Warpath, Sunspot and Quicksilver!

Bringing the (futuristic) X-men and the First Class is a plot nightmare as they have to conform with the timeline of all the films to prove its consistency as a single franchise. To date it will be Hugh Jackman's seventh time to reprise the role of Wolverine, and there will be another one in 2016, so its not over yet.

REEL DEAL: "X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST" Latest Trailer Reveal

For the first time, the mutant worlds of the first three X-Men movies and the new, younger versions of our heroes from 2011’s successful First Class are on screen in one film. With Bryan Singer back directing, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" promises an adventure like nothing we have seen before.

The future is dark for the heroes of the X-Men saga in “Days of Future Past.” A years-long world conflict between humans and mutants has taken its toll on their numbers, and now a scant few remain, including Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), Erik “Magneto” Lehnsherr (Ian McKellen), Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page), and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). Driven to near extinction by the technological terrors unleashed by Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage), the team forms a desperate plan: time travel.

Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), having the ability to instantly heal, is the one chosen to endure the strain of travelling back in time.

REEL DEAL: The Counselor REVIEW

Dirty business is indeed very dirty and bloody at the same time. But it can also be luxurious and philosophical. This is what I realized when I saw "The Counselor" starring Michael Fassbender, Cameron Diaz, and Penelope Cruz.

The movie is a very complicated web of characters ranging from the innocent girl, drug cartels, crazy sex freaks, and many other links that one would never imagine being part of an illegal trade.

The Counselor reminds me of Vanilla Sky with Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz, and the one thing missing is Tom Cruise, which is filled  by Michael Fassbender. The  best thing about the Counselor is its eye for detail, which is best seen with Cameron Diaz's character. Sophisticated, complex yet close to reality which gives that chill and sometimes pity to  innocent characters involved in the mess.
